The Mims Morning Meeting

For those of us whom are fortunate enough to have a better half or a significant other we understand that the art of communicating can at times be strangled when the spoken word is misinterpreted or misconstrued. In my years of selling, the same problem has occurred with prospects and customers. A prospect or customer will make a incorrect statement regarding your products or services.  Several things can course this to happen, of which we will discuss later. The statement I chant to myself before an appointment or a closing presentation is It’s not what you say-It’s what they hear!

A multifarious statement may be miscalculated or unsettling to that spouse/prospect or customer. If not corrected in a timely and appropriate manner, this is a problem that can germinate into apredicament. A predicament that can prove to be aggrandized and the solution can be even more difficult to solve or cure. Most of the time we are not aware that a mistake has occurred, thus leaving the wrong impression in the mind of the spouse/prospect or customer. How does one avoid what can be a disastrous mistake? For the sake of this topic let us focus on the spoken misinterpretation in the context of a sales call environment. I have a cure for this sales relationshipenvironment. For the spousal relationship environment mistakes you are on your own. A good customer/prospect are worth their weight in gold and like gold very hard to find. So a misinterpreted statement about your product or service can destroy a relationship before it has the opportunity to become fruitful.  Let’s list the courses, effect and the solution. www.mimsmorningmeeting.com
